In addition to the music and poetry presentations, visitors can ride in a horse-drawn wagon, watch cowboys at work training a green horse or just experience Alberta's ranching lifestyle at a barbeque.

Every August, the community of Pincher Creek comes alive with rodeo action during its annual fair and rodeo. The three-day event includes parades, animal competition and exhibitions, pro rodeo events, cook-offs and more. Held at the Pincher Creek & District Fairgrounds.

Held every August at Castle Mountain Resort, the Huckleberry Festival has been taking place for over a dozen years and features more than just picking the yummy and unique wild huckleberries. The family-friendly festival also includes live music, a pancake breakfast and barbeques.

To commemorate the anniversary of Terry’s Marathon of Hope, every school in Canada is invited to participate in the Terry Fox National School Run Day. This event will be held simultaneously at schools large and small from coast-to-coast. With millions of schools participating, this could one of the largest single-day events in Canadian history and will allow our youth to show all of Canada the power they have to help others.
